Match Highlights

First Half

Germany dominated the first half, creating numerous scoring chances. In the 11th minute, Leroy Sane found himself in a promising position inside the Hungary box. He combined with Joshua Kimmich and fired a low shot that Gulacsi saved. Fullkrug also had a chance to score but his shot was blocked by a defender.

Second Half

Germany continued to press for a goal in the second half. In the 55th minute, Sane played a clever pass to Serge Gnabry, who cut inside and unleashed a powerful shot that Gulacsi could only parry. Havertz was on hand to tap in the rebound and give Germany the lead.

Hungary rarely threatened the German goal and their best chance came in the 70th minute when Szalai headed over from close range. Germany sealed the victory in the 84th minute when Kimmich scored a stunning goal from outside the box.

Post-Match Comments

Germany manager Hansi Flick was delighted with his team's performance. "We played very well today and created a lot of chances," he said. "We deserved to win and I'm very happy with the three points."

Hungary manager Marco Rossi was disappointed with the result but praised his players for their effort. "We gave it our all but Germany were the better team today," he said. "We need to learn from this experience and come back stronger in the next game."
