Papenburg, 14 February 2023 – The family shareholders and the employees of Meyer Werft have agreed on a parity-based Supervisory Board.

This means that in future, the Supervisory Board will consist of six shareholder representatives and six employee representatives. The agreement was reached after constructive negotiations between the two sides.

The new Supervisory Board will be elected at the next Annual General Meeting of Meyer Werft, which is scheduled to take place in June 2023.

Background:

The Supervisory Board of Meyer Werft currently consists of five shareholder representatives and four employee representatives. The change to a parity-based Supervisory Board is a significant step towards increasing employee participation in the company's decision-making processes.

The agreement between the family shareholders and the employees is a sign of the good and trusting relationship between the two sides.
